Zeaxanthin Antioxidant ReviewedHow does Zeaxanthin compare? Please read our report below......
Supplement Details:What does zeaxanthin do and how does zeaxanthin work? For one, the eye needs supplies of nutrients in order to work properly. One of these nutrients is the zeaxanthin. Zeaxanthin then moves to the different parts of the eyes, particularly in the macula and the lens. The macula absorbs the zeaxanthin to have something to use when it filters the high energy light coming from the sun. Take note that zeaxanthin does not cure degeneration that happens in the macular area. It does not also reverse the loss of vision due to the degeneration of the macula. It does not do actions such as repairing the eyes to restore right vision.
In order to avoid deficiency in zeaxanthin, eating green leafy vegetables and yellow fruits like spinach, kale and squash is a must. Zeaxanthin is also found in egg yolks. Zeaxanthin is an example of fat-soluble nutrient which means that it is easily absorbed if it is taken with fat-containing foods. Zeaxanthin is also easier to be absorbed by the body when it is taken with fatty acid supplements like CLA, conjugated linoleic acid and fish oil.
Individuals who have low amount of fats in their diet, or those who do not include fruits and vegetables in their diets or even those who are sick and their bodies cannot properly digest fat are susceptible to caroteniod deficiency. Aside from these cases, smokers also have the tendency to suffer from carotenoid deficiency because the bodies of smokers cannot fully absorb carotenoids. In order to make up for the required amount of carotene, smokers should add more fruits and vegetables in their diet. They are not recommended to take in carotenoid supplements since this will increase their chances of having lung cancers.
There are already several forms of zeaxanthin supplements in the market. The dose ranges from 1 milligram up to 10 milligrams. There are also zeaxanthin supplements that are combined with lutein, lutein having more parts compared with zeaxanthin. So far, there have been no reports about the toxic reaction to zeaxanthin although it has been noted that carotenoid supplements should not be taken by smokers. Lastly, zeaxanthin should be taken as a part of your everyday diet. It should always be included in your health regimen. As you age, your eyes deteriorate too so it is better if you take the necessary supplements to lessen the speed of your eyes deterioration.
